Roland-Story CSD Multi-Purpose Room

Roland-Story Community School District was in need of a larger space for assemblies, concerts, athletic competition, community events and physical education. An addition was conceived and constructed using efficient materials and construction techniques. The result truly performs as a multi-purpose, flexible space. The middle school is able to seamlessly change uses in facility, oftentimes making the transition from one activity to another within minutes. Audiences and participants are escorted to and from the facility in a new, wide foyer with generous space for restrooms and concessions. The addition takes design cues from the existing structure, but expresses them in new ways. The students and staff enjoy the natural light in the room and the active environment it supports.
