Our Foundation
Founded in Boone, Iowa in 1986, 10Fold began with a clear mission: to deliver innovative architectural and structural engineering solutions that serve our clients in an authentic and inspiring way. Following our rebrand in 2019, our name reflects that commitment — to expand the possibilities of every space tenfold, exceeding expectations and making a lasting impact for our clients and their communities.
Growth & Evolution
What started as a small, passionate team has grown into a multi-disciplinary firm serving a wide range of clients and project types across Iowa and the Midwest (we’re licensed in 15 states). Since relocating to Ames in 2010, our team has expanded to include architects, structural engineers, interior designers, planners, and project managers, all working together to deliver thoughtful, integrated design.
Throughout these four decades, our clients have always been at the center of the story. Our role is to listen, guide, and bring clarity, helping turn vision into meaningful, lasting spaces where people can live, work, learn and connect.
Celebrating Together
In April, we celebrated this milestone alongside more than 150 friends, clients, and Ames Regional Economic Alliance members at our Business After Hours event hosted in our office. It was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the relationships that have shaped our firm and to express our gratitude to the community that has supported us along the way.
Leadership & Values
This anniversary also reflects the leadership and dedication that continue to guide 10Fold. Led by principals Kevin Barber, Sam Stagg, Chad West, and Eric Vermeer, our team brings deep experience, a commitment to excellence, and a shared passion for purposeful design. Together, we carry forward the values that have defined our firm from the beginning: humble, hungry, hopeful, smart, and authentic.
