Imagine the possibilities of a building and then multiply it ten times. Delivering beyond the expected is how 10Fold Architecture and Engineering approaches every project.

Iowa Central Community College Greehey Family Student Success Center

Being the most highly trafficked building on campus, the new Greehey Family Student Success Center needed to be a welcoming, functional, and iconic space for students and faculty. Consolidating all student services under one roof provides students with a better experience and the resources they need to succeed while improving accessibility on campus.

With the project site being surrounded by water on three sides, the building’s position allows for cross-axial circulation with a pedestrian bridge connecting to campus, a covered vehicle drop off, a covered patio, and prime views of the pond and campus. Daylight is harvested through northern glazing and an atrium. The atrium also serves as a wayfinding point and place of social interaction.

The design establishes a series of student collaboration spaces, private work spaces, conference rooms, and department offices and creates a new campus focal point that is set to serve the college’s future student success.
