10Fold collaborated with the Ames Chamber of Commerce for an interior renovation of the Laughlin Level in their downtown Ames building. Formerly used as a commercial office space over 10 years prior, this level required major improvements to meet the new programmatic needs of the Chamber as well as meet current standards of commercial conference space. The new program includes a large conference space, private meeting spaces, and a serving kitchen coupled with a large common space for hosting community events. Other improvements include new gender-neutral restrooms, storage space for tables and chairs, and the addition of an elevator providing accessibility for all users in the building. The interior improvements resulted in a contemporary yet welcoming space for visitors and staff.
