Eric Badding

Licensed Architect – AIA, BECxP, CxA+BE

Eric’s path to architecture wasn’t a straight line. His first academic degree and career was in construction engineering. He worked for many construction companies for nearly 20 years and even started his own business.

He received his master’s degree in architecture in 2015 and enjoys applying all of his construction experience as a licensed architect. Eric focuses on achieving net zero designs for residential structures and detailing building envelopes for the commercial market.

Eric loves seeing the design realized during construction and getting positive feedback from users and the public of a successful building. He is proud that our work will be there into the future, giving others something to see and reflect upon long after construction.

Good ideas can come from anyone involved in a building project. Eric uses careful listening skills to give clients what they want, while guiding them to the best decisions.

As a part-time instructor at Iowa State University, Eric has an interest in mentoring young, aspiring architects. He enjoys sharing his experiences in life and architecture to help students find their way.
